Named After Our Dad

Our dad Joe was born in Newark, NJ in the 1950s. From the stories he told us - sitting around the dinner table late into the night - he was an outlandish kid. There was a cartoonish, theatrical quality to everything he described. Cowboys he was inspired by. Clouds he stared at for hours. Fights he'd retell like scenes from a Tom and Jerry cartoon. His childhood dog Regis was once found in an alleyway surrounded by empty beer bottles with a half-smoked cigarette in his mouth.

An athlete, an intellect, a hero to us — he's our dad. It brings us great joy as brothers to build this together. That privilege is not lost on us.

Joe Jo's is named after him. The logo is inspired by his childhood stories. The brand exists because of the specific way he moves through the world - with warmth, confidence, and complete sincerity.

Named After Our Dad

Joe grew up in Newark, NJ in the 1950s. Italian-Irish, animated, a natural storyteller who romanticized everything. He spent his childhood in the woods, staring at clouds, and getting into fights he’d later describe like scenes from a cartoon.

A reader, an athlete, an intellect, he’s our dad. Drinks his coffee with honey, cream, and a dash of cinnamon. His childhood dog Regis was once found in an alleyway sounded by empty bottles of a beer and a half smoked cigarette in his mouth.
